All veterinarians and staff members have their own pets. We understand client concerns and strive to make your visit a pleasant experience. You and your pet are considered our close friends.
Dr. Rhoda Short
Each staff member genuinely is concerned about your pet's welfare. Seriously sick or injured animals are daily topics of discussion for our entire staff. We anxiously follow the progress of these hospitalized patients. All of us rejoice when a sick patient rallies back to health and mourn the passing of a beloved older animal.
Dr. Jane Kubacki
All of our patients are treated gently and with kindness. Sick animals always receive a warm blanket and even hot water bottles to provide extra warmth during their stay. Often, one of our veterinarians, a veterinary assistant, or even our cleaning lady will stop to give a friendly caress and a kind word to a hospitalized pet that feels alone.
Delaine comforts cat
Difficult patients are handled with humane dignity. At times, when a nasty patient on the critical list feels well enough to resume biting, a good-natured joke is, "Well old grumpy is feeling better!" We're all glad that he's back to normal, with the same, "Don't touch me" look in his eye.
Dr. Richard Short
Our staff is a little unusual in that we function as a cohesive team. Regardless of whose job description it is, we work together to accomplish necessary tasks. Many times, when clients show their appreciation with a hand written card or flowers, they thank the entire staff. We all enjoy our work and our work-place.
"People's Choice" Award
The Huron Daily Tribune sponsors the annual People's Choice award for area businesses. They tally votes from portions of three counties. Our staff members have been selected as the People's Choice for favorite veterinarian, favorite groomer, and favorite boarding facility numerous times.
